Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Norwegian wood, is a story told from the perspective of Toru Watanabe who looks back twenty years ago to understand what went wrong.

With a gripping plot, it also tries to capture human flaws. With question imposed on readers, I can compare this one Albert Camus’ The Stranger minus the existentialist view. (Though at some point I feel that this could be.) The characters are very alive as if they live are stories from actual persons. I assume that many can relate to this one.

For a final say, this is definitely the book to read not just by Murakami fans. This will not disappoint anybody who looks for a plot that cuts deep. I can actually describe this one as a ‘wonderful nightmare.’ Its a very wonderful read yet it is still a nightmare that will haunt its readers.
